M&K Truck Centers announced they have acquired the exclusive rights to represent Volvo Trucks in the Detroit metro market.

M&K acquired the Volvo Dealer contract rights from Livonia-based VIP Truck Center. The transition will be effective January 13th.

M&K will immediately offer service (including warranty service), parts sales, and Volvo truck sales and leasing from their existing location at 37580 Mound Road in Sterling Heights.

“We are excited to bring the M&K commitment to customer satisfaction to the Detroit market for the Volvo brand. Volvo Trucks had numerous dealers to choose from to represent them in this important market. We are honored they chose M&K” said Ron Meyering, President of M&K Truck Centers.”

M&K will add over 2,500 square feet of warehouse floor space to the Sterling Heights parts department in preparation for the acquisition. Additionally, four additional parts delivery trucks and a mobile service truck have been added to the location to service Volvo customers.

M&K is planning a two-store strategy to meet customers’ needs in the market. Locations for an additional dealership to complement the Sterling Heights location are being considered along the I-275 corridor between I-94 and I-96.
