WIEGAND MACK SALES & SERVICE NOW M&K TRUCK CENTERS

M&K Truck Centers announced the successful acquisition of Wiegand Mack Sales & Service and Mack Lease of Detroit.

Located in Sterling Heights, Wiegand has been a family-owned and operated business since 1978. Wiegand’s 35 talented employees will join M&K, who will maintain the existing location at 37580 Mound Road. With this acquisition, M&K, the largest Mack Dealer in Michigan, will expand to five locations in the state. The addition of Wiegand Mack increases M&K’s footprint to 13 locations across Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois.

The expansion into Metro Detroit offers M&K customers more convenient access to sales, parts, and service along the I-75 and 1-696 corridor in Michigan.

“Our acquisition of Wiegand complements our desire to expand our ability to support our customers in the Metro Detroit area as well as Wiegand’s existing customers within the M&K footprint,” said Ron Meyering, President of M&K Truck Centers. “We look forward to welcoming all of the employees at Wiegand into the M&K family who will help us continue to provide exceptional service to the customers in the area.”

Mike Klieman, General Manager at Wiegand since 2005, is equally excited about the purchase. “Ron’s reputation within the industry is superb,” Klieman said. “We are thrilled that our customers will have support across the M&K network and are confident he will take great care of our employees throughout this transition.”

An authorized dealer for Mack, Hino, and Mitsubishi Fuso trucks, Wiegand’s’ offerings align with the leading manufacturers represented by M&K, which also include Volvo and Isuzu Trucks. Additionally, as a member of NationaLease, one of the largest full-service truck leasing organizations in North America, the acquisition of Mack Lease of Detroit will add 50 trucks to M&K’s 700-truck NationLease fleet.

In addition to truck sales and leasing, the Sterling Heights location will offer Mack, Volvo, Hino and aftermarket parts sales, local parts deliveries, body shop, and 11 bays for truck service. M&K also plans to expand hours in the parts and service departments.
